Tall tales, essays, conscientious objection to war and observations of the human condition from the perspective of over nine decade of living. Age does not guarantee wisdom, but it does grant perspective.

Lifetime pacifist. Spent 4 years in camps for conscientious objectors during WW II. Homesteaded in Brown County Indiana in 1947 with wife Mardi Coman. Built and designed our own house and made designing houses, and building, my means of living. We raised five successful daughters. We are enjoying our retirement years in a passive solar house of my own design.
Retirement has given me the opportunity to expand my writing. I have self-published two books, Leaves for the Raking and Why now? (The evolution of a conscientious objector). I have been a feature writer for Our Brown County magazine since its inception in 1995. My writing is usually in essay or 'tall tale' form.
